Watch Wet Leg perform ‘Don’t Speak’ live for the first time

Wet Leg have performed their song ‘Don’t Speak’ live for the very first time while at a festival in Sweden. Check out footage of the show below.
The moment took place as the UK band took to the stage for the recent 2025 edition of Way Out West festival in Sweden. Held over the past weekend, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, and the Swedish band Kite were headliners, with Wet Leg’s set falling on Friday (August 8).
Opening with ‘Catch These Fists’, ‘Wet Dream’, ‘Too Late Now’ and ‘Liquidize’, Rhian Teasdale and co. continued with ‘Jennifer’s Body’, ‘Being In Love’, Ur Mum’, ‘Davina McCall’ and ‘Pillow Talk’.
It was later in the set, however, that the band used the slot at Way Out West to break out the live debut of ‘Don’t Speak’ – a track from their new record ‘Moisturizer’.
Check out live footage of the rendition below, which comes with sonic, ethereal instrumental sections and dreamy vocals from Teasdale.
Wet Leg’s second album ‘Moisturizer’ came out on July 11, and soon saw them reach the top of the UK Albums Charts – beating off competition from Oasis.
To celebrate the milestone, the band took aim at the Britpop giants with a tongue-in-cheek post. They uploaded a photo of Teasdale holding a vinyl copy of the album while wearing an Oasis-labelled T-shirt. However, instead of the Gallagher brothers, this t-shirt features a still from the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber.
NME awarded ‘Moisturizer’ four stars, commending it for its strength and style. “After the whirlwind that was Wet Leg’s debut album, it would have been easy for the band to capitulate under the pressure or just play it safe and remake that record,” it read.
“But on their second effort, they’ve evolved into a smarter, sexier and altogether stronger creature. Would we still love Wet Leg if they turned into a worm? With this album under their belts, the answer is undoubtedly yes.”
Earlier this month, the band announced details of a 2025 tour of the UK and Ireland. The eight shows kick off on November 13 with an opening night at Royal Albert Hall in London. From there, shows continue with stops at Liverpool’s Mountford Hall and Nottingham’s Rock City on November 15 and 17, respectively.
More new shows include slots at UEA in Norwich, Guildhall in Portsmouth, University Great Hall in Cardiff and the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin. Visit here to buy remaining tickets.
