Stephen King's 'The Monkey' Is a Horror Movie Hit on Streaming
Despite the horror movie lineup for 2025 being stacked with so many highly anticipated releases, from Sinners to Weapons, fans of the horror genre are still eager to see yet another Stephen King book-to-movie adaptation. 2025’s The Monkey, which is based on a 1980 short story written by the legendary horror author, follows two twin brothers (both played by Theo James) who find a cursed toy monkey tucked away in their father’s attic. All of a sudden, a series of unexplained murders start to happen, and it leads to a death that tears the twins’ family apart, causing them to get separated. Years later, the twins reunite to stop the evil toy monkey once and for all.
