Yungblud is to open his own music venue at a historic centre for music culture in Soho in Central London.

As reported by the Daily Star, the musician’s plans are to open the establishment at 20 Denmark Street, a site surrounded by many beloved musical instrument shops and cultural hotspots.

“It’s opening this year,” he told the newspaper. “I want people to hang out, meet and have a physical space to make real connections in this virtual world. There will be a leopard pool table downstairs.”

“My biggest dream is to have clubs all over the world where my fanbase can hang out, seven days a week, open all day and at night,” he added. “London is hopefully just the first one.”

Yungblud has been critical of the current price of live music, saying he “100 per cent” agrees that it has “got out of hand”.

Speaking about the surge in festival ticket prices, he said: “This is just dumb. Just stupid. It does not represent real people. I cannot play a festival where it’s like £800 a ticket. How can you stand on stage, and that’s okay?”

He launched his own “community-focused” festival, BludFest, last summer at the Milton Keynes Bowl, with headline sets from Yungblud himself and Lil Yachty, as well as Soft Play, The Damned and Lola Young.

The second BludFest took place at the same site in June, with Denzel Curry and Chase Atlantic joining Yungblud as headliners.

He has said that part of the reason he created BludFest was to offer the change he wanted to see. “We wanted to come back and do 20 bands for £65, because that’s the way it should be. In this world, there is nothing you can’t achieve if you are doing it from a place of truth, and for the right reason,” he said.

“I was tired of what the festival market was. I was tired that a lot of festival promoters didn’t take me seriously. So I was like: I’ll start my own. Why not?”

When Harrison spoke to NME about the launch of the festival last year, he made similar comments. “We’re not even making money – we’re just doing it for the fucking tunes. I’m excited. It’s all about saying ‘thank for this moment’. I’ve had so many arguments about the price-point but that’s it.”

YungBlud released his fourth album ‘Idols’ last month and will play a headline tour in North America and Europe later this year. A UK and Ireland arena tour will follow in 2026 – see all the dates here and find tickets here.

He also led a supergroup on stage at Villa Park at the final Black Sabbath concert earlier this month, singing the band’s song ‘Changes’ and dedicating the performance to the late Liverpool star Diogo Jota. He was later gifted a custom-made gold cross by Ozzy Osbourne.
