’28 Years Later’ fans go wild for “masterpiece” trailer: “Danny Boyle is so back”

The latest trailer for Danny Boyle’s zombie horror sequel 28 Years Later has landed online, and fans are excited by what they see.
A sequel to 2002’s 28 Days Later, the official synopsis reads: “It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped from a biological weapons laboratory. Still living in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amid the infected.
“One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway. When one of them decides to venture into the dark heart of the mainland, he soon discovers a mutation that has spread to not only the infected, but other survivors as well.”
The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Jodie Comer. It also sees Boyle return to the directors chair after handing over the reigns of 2007’s 28 Weeks Later to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Alex Garland, the writer of the original film, also returns.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans shared their initial thoughts on the clip, which features soldiers being terrorised by The Infected, zombies flooding into a church, and a further look at the cast in character. “Well, that looks terrifying!” quipped one, while another added: “I can’t stress this enough.. This is one of the few movies that I’m really really excited to watch”.

Maybe just great trailers but good lord… I hope its a feast.”
