A ‘Yellow’ shuttle bus will carry Coldplay fans to two ‘Music Of The Spheres’ UK stadium concerts

A shuttle bus named after Coldplay‘s classic hit ‘Yellow’ is set to run fans to two ‘Music Of The Spheres’ concerts in the UK next month.
The shows at Hull’s Craven Park Stadium on August 18 and 19, will see Stagecoach East Midlands put on the special shuttle bus between Hull Interchange and Preston Road for the venue from 3pm to 7pm BST on both days.
The same service will take people back to Hull city centre after the concert finishes from 10pm BST.
Stagecoach is offering Coldplay Day Tickets for £6 if bought on their app before July 31, with the price set to rise to £9 thereafter. More details will follow leading up to the event.
Matt Cranwell, managing director for Stagecoach East Midlands, told BBC News: “Many of our team, throughout the Stagecoach East Midlands operation, are big Coldplay fans, so we are proud and excited to play our part in making these great events for our city and region.

“We always want to do the right thing to meet the travel needs of local people, so we will be pulling out all the stops to provide an outstanding service.”
The band will also be playing a run of dates at Wembley Stadium from August 22 to September 8 although there are no plans as yet to line up a ‘Yellow’ shuttle bus for those shows.
Support on the tour will come from Ayra Starr – who released her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’ last year and also teamed up with the band on ‘Moon Music’ track ‘GOOD FEELiNGS’ – and Beabadoobee.
Also on the bill is Tems, who Chris Martin recently selected as one of the artists set to perform at the FIFA Club World Cup halftime show, as is Elyanna, who teamed up with the band on the single ‘We Pray’ – which also featured Burna Boy, Little Simz and Tini.
Former NME star Chloe Qisha is on the line-up too, after Martin gave her a shout-out earlier this year and recommended her music to those struggling with mental health. The remainder of the support acts include Chiedu Oraka and Gustavo Didamel and The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.
At the end of 2024, NME spoke to Chris Martin in an exclusive interview about their 10th album ‘Moon Music’ and their constant support for emerging talent.
Explaining why he wanted to work with Arya Starr, he said: “Number one: she’s brilliant, and number two: she’s Nigerian. It would maybe work with an English person, but it wouldn’t be the same. [We asked] ‘Is it the person the song wants?’, ‘Is it someone Coldplay can give wider exposure to?’, and ‘Do they come from a completely different place to us?’”
“On our records, we’re covered for middle-aged white guys,” he added. “We don’t need any more of them, really. It’s fun to expand the band into other cultures, countries, genders and sexualities. That’s really what we believe in.”
Elsewhere, Coldplay, Doja Cat, J Balvin, and Tems also headlined the FIFA Club World Cup final halftime show earlier this week.
The band also recently announced the re-issue of several albums on LPs made from recycled plastic bottles. These include 2000’s ‘Parachutes’, 2002’s ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’, 2005’s ‘X&Y’, 2008’s ‘Viva La Vida’, 2011’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’, 2014’s ‘Ghost Stories’, 2015’s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’, 2019’s ‘Everyday Life’ and 2021’s ‘Music Of The Spheres’.
