Dave Filoni Wants 'Godzilla Minus One's Takashi Yamazaki to Make a 'Star Wars' Movie
Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni has expressed his desire for arguably one of the best monster movie directors ever to develop a Star Wars project. During an interview with Cinema Today at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, Filoni said he would like Takashi Yamazaki, the filmmaker behind Toho's critically acclaimed Godzilla Minus One, to unleash his creativity in the galaxy far, far away to see what he would come up with. However, he acknowledged that Yamazaki is likely too "busy" with his next kaiju feature to take a galactic detour.
