Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 8-18-25 Promise To Finally Reveal EJ’s Shooter, But The Solution Is Predictable

Days of Our Lives finally revealing the identity of EJ’s shooter should be great news.

This story has been dragged out for so long that all over social media, fans are saying they no longer care what the answer is.

That’s… not good, and neither is the fact that Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-18-25 suggest that the shooter is someone that everyone guessed months ago.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers for the Week of 8-18-25 Don’t Reveal the Shooter, But…

…if you put them all together, the solution is obvious.

Not only will the shooter’s identity be revealed on Tuesday, but Kristen will be forced to face facts and later will beg EJ for more time.

I could be missing something, but it sounds to me like these clues fit together perfectly… and they all point to the same person.

Yep, barring a truly shocking twist, Days of Our Lives is going to reveal this week that little Rachel shot EJ.

So many people guessed this near the beginning of the storyline when Rachel claimed she heard gunshots and began having stomachaches.

So if she turns out to be the shooter, it’ll be anticlimactic since we’ve all been saying this for months.

Rachel Isn’t As Hateful As She Used To Be

When this story first began, I couldn’t wait for Rachel to get caught and get what she deserved (hopefully).

The kid was written as a mini-Kristen who did whatever it took to get what she wanted while Brady had no clue how to discipline her or stop her from becoming as spoiled and violent as her mother.

The new writing team sees Rachel differently, and it shows on-screen — and not because a different actress is playing her.

She seems like a genuinely sweet kid now who is traumatized by her parents’ divorce and wants to be a good person.

The little girl who didn’t mind helping kidnap Ava is gone (thankfully) and a relatively typical pre-teen has taken her place.

This does change the story somewhat. Instead of being eager to see Rachel punished, I want her to get the help she needs, and I’m hoping these spoilers are a massive fakeout and we have a big twist coming.

Sadly, Days of Our Lives Always Handles Mysteries This Way

It’s been years since a shocking ending has actually been shocking.

When Camila Banus left the first time, the revelation that Gabi had shot Nick was supposed to be this massive surprise… but just like this time, everyone guessed it already, and Days of Our Lives wasn’t exactly subtle about the clues pointing int his direction.

Character exits are often announced way in advance, and in this case, the official reason for recasting Rachel was that she was going to be in a very intense story.

There was never any way for her to be innocent, given that teaser.

At Least It’s Not A Random Person This Time

I was afraid they were going in the same stupid direction they did with Charlie Dale’s murder, with all that nonsense about whether Belle could have done it.

The set-up was the same, with about 100 people visiting the scene of the crime the night it took place and Belle randomly fitting a clue near the end of the story.

I’d rather Rachel be the shooter than THAT, especially since last time that silliness was followed up with Jan Spears randomly being the killer when she hadn’t been on-screen in months.

Of course, there are two possibilities for twists (nope, Belle isn’t one of them, thankfully.)

We all know Kristen’s mother is unstable, violent, and would do anything for Kristen or Rachel.

She especially hated Ava, who left town right around the time of the shooting.

So what if Grandma Rachel sneaked back into Salem to shoot EJ and frame Ava for it? Only, Ava left town so it didn’t work.

I don’t seriously think that’s the twist, but I wish it were.

It would make a lot of sense. Kristen’s mother was at war with EJ, who had banished her to parts unknown and wasn’t telling Kristen where she was.

That would be enough of a motive for Kristen’s mother to shoot EJ, even without Ava turning up just in time to be framed for it.

I suppose we could go for the random killer again and have Gwen be the one who shot EJ, but that would be entirely unsatisfying and wouldn’t cause much drama for anyone important.

Will The Truth Come Out Too Late?

While the reveal that Rachel is the shooter isn’t very exciting, the climax of this trial story might be.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-18-25, the trial ends unexpectedly early, with the jury reaching a verdict.

Yes, that jury that is led by Leo and also contains that weirdo who was fanboying all over him on Friday. God help us.

It’s possible that Johnny will be convicted, which will then lead to the drama of trying to get that overturned without incurring Kristen’s wrath.

Conversely, Days of Our Lives could do what they often do with weddings and have someone rush in with a confession just as the jury is about to announce its verdict.

The judge might not like that very much, but I’d love it!

EJ’s strategy should backfire. By accusing every single witness, he should look so desperate to a jury that they assume he’s making things up to get a guilty man acquittd.

But this is Salem, so it’s impossible to predict what’ll happen.

Either way, Kristen won’t help anything by throwing fits in the courtroom.

Not only could she get locked up for contempt, but she’s setting a horrible example for Rachel — and if the little girl is guilty, she needs a judge to see her as a child in need of help, not the spitting image of an unstable mother.

Other Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 8-18-25

  • The jig may soon be up for Sophia. Sarah again pressures her to tell the truth, while Brady starts to suspect that Sarah knows something about his grandchild.
  • Stephanie is upset when she learns Steve is investigating Alex’s company, while Alex wonders what Xander is hiding.
  • Julie makes Foster an offer on the bookstore.
