'Dexter' Fans Continue to Fight to Save Smash Hit Spin-off Series Following Sudden Cancellation
Even though Paramount announced that Dexter: Original Sin would return for Season 2, the studio recently made a decision that fans didn’t see coming: the show has been officially canceled after one season. Back in April, Paramount+ Showtime confirmed that the spin-off series was greenlit for a second season, which occurred just a month after the show’s first season ended. Serving as a prequel to the original Dexter series, Dexter: Original Sin centers around a young Dexter Morgan as he learns to become the vigilante serial killer we’ve all come to know under the guidance of his father, Harry. Season 1 featured an all-star cast, including Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey, Christina Milligan, and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
