Did Chappell Roan just tease that she’s the ‘Patchwork’ secret set at Glastonbury 2025?

Chappell Roan has shared a new post, possibly suggesting that she could be the mysterious ‘Patchwork’ act set to perform at Glastonbury 2025.
Rumours about some secret sets at this year’s festival arose after the full line-up and day splits were unveiled at the start of the month, and there were indications of several secret sets on the way.
These included a ‘TBA’ at the Pyramid stage on Friday (June 27) before Alanis Morrissette‘s set, a mystery show at the Woodsies early on Friday at 11.30am, and a gap at the Park Stage on Saturday (28) between Gary Numan and Beth Gibbons.
One of the most talked about sets though is the performance of a mysterious artist going by the name ‘Patchwork’, which is planned for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday.
Since it was announced, fans and bookies have been convinced that the set would most likely be a surprise set from Britpop legends, Pulp – although both frontman Jarvis Cocker and keyboardist Candida Doyle have been quick to dismiss the rumours.
Other favourites for the slot include Lorde – who recently said she was eager to “pull some strings” and organise a last-minute appearance – HAIM, who have been dropping hints about their love for the festival in recent interviews, and Lewis Capaldi, who is speculated to be behind the new billboard that appeared in Castle Cary this morning.
Now, a new name has been added to the mix following Chappell Roan sharing a new post with a subtle hint to the ‘Patchwork’ alias.
The update was shared last night (June 23), and contained a carousel of throwback images. These showed her as a child and had the caption “Insane vibe”. It was the third image in the post that caught some fans’ attention though, as it showed her holding up a homemade patchwork blanket.
It has already got some eagle-eyed fans questioning if the picture could be a hint at a possible appearance at Worthy Farm. One took to the comment section to ask “Are you patchwork at @glastofest this year?”, and another added: “I really hope the Patchwork is a hint about this weekend, and not just a coincidence?”
On top of that, the former NME Cover star has shared her fondness for patchwork earlier this year too – attending the 2025 edition of the Met Gala wearing an elaborate, all-pink patchwork suit and matching coat.
While Roan wasn’t included in the bill for Glasto 2025, before it was announced she was one of the strongest contenders when it came to those rumoured. This came following her having a huge 2024 thanks to hit singles like ‘Pink Pony Club’ and ‘Good Luck, Babe!’, playing a huge set at Lollapalooza, winning Best New Artist at the Grammys and performing with Sir Elton John at his Oscars party.
She was also speculated to be on the bill for the 2025 edition of Glastonbury as she has no tour dates scheduled until August – leaving a huge gap free around the time that the festival takes place.
When she does head to the UK to resume her live shows, she will be headlining this year’s Reading & Leeds festival. This was announced as an English headline exclusive when it was first shared – possibly explaining why a Glasto set could be designed as a secret set under an alias.
At time of writing, it remains unclear who will be performing under the ‘Patchwork’ name this weekend, although bookies are still certain that it will be Pulp, despite their recent comments denying it. If the Sheffield band were to take to the stage there, it would coincide with them recently sharing ‘More’, their first album in 24 years, and also take place 30 years after their 1995 headline slot.
The gates for the iconic festival open tomorrow (June 25), and the event will run up until Sunday (29). Headliners are Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo on the Pyramid Stage, and Loyle Carner, Charli XCX and The Prodigy on the Other Stage. Rod Stewart will be playing Sunday’s Legend’s Slot.
Other big names on the bill include Biffy Clyro, The Maccabees, Lucy Dacus, Father John Misty, RAYE, Wolf Alice, The Prodigy, Doechii, St. Vincent, Deftones, The Libertines, Wet Leg, Weezer, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Future Islands, JADE, TV On The Radio, Self Esteem, CMAT, Blossoms and Turnstile.
