'Eternals' Star Reveals Ambitious Scrapped Plans for the MCU Team
Kumail Nanjiani opens up about the fallout for Eternals, and possibly some ambitious plans that Marvel Studios might have had for the team. Eternals was met with a great deal of expectations and excitement, as it was one of the first titles in the MCU's post-Endgame slate and was directed by Academy Award-winner Chloe Zhao. However, Eternals ended up being the MCU's first film on Rotten Tomatoes to score a rotten rating. Even with a $402 worldwide total during the early period of audiences returning to theaters following the COVID-19 pandemic, it was deemed a box office disappointment.
