'Gargoyles' Live-Action Reboot Will Retain Its Dark Tone, Showrunner Promises
Nostalgia is big business in the world of Hollywood these days, and now the 1980s have been well and truly exhausted, studios are turning to the 90s for their next, big, nostalgic hit. Thus, a live-action reboot of the fan-favorite animated series, Gargoyles, is now in the works, with writer, director, and showrunner Gary Dauberman promising that the new take on this tale of centuries-old stone gargoyles being awakened in modern-day New York City will be just as dark as its beloved animated predecessor.
