James Gunn Gives Disappointing Update on Fan Favorite DC Heroes Long Awaited Feature Film
James Gunn is developing a DC Universe filled with characters ranging from big names like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to lesser-known figures like the Creature Commandos and Lobo. Yet one hero appears to be facing behind-the-scenes trouble, Static or, as fans now know him, Static Shock. Static has become a fan favorite thanks to his popular animated series, Static Shock, which aired on The Kids WB from 2001 to 2004. Starting with Season 2, Static Shock was incorporated into the wider DC Animated Universe, featuring crossovers with Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and Batman Beyond. For an entire generation, he has been a key fixture of the DC Universe, with many hoping to see him get the live-action film treatment.
