Marvel Fans Upset as Disney+ Drops 'Thunderbolts*' on Streaming Without an IMAX Version

The best Marvel movie of the year didn't quite take the box office by storm, but fans have been desperately waiting for it to land on Disney+. That day has finally come, as Thunderbolts* is now available on the streaming platform. However, many are disappointed with how the streamer has released the MCU film. Disney+ has delivered big over the past few years with its MCU projects. As well as original shows and behind-the-scenes featurettes, the streamer has also released IMAX-enhanced versions of your favorite Marvel films. Given that a lot of emphasis was put on Thunderbolts*'s cinematography (courtesy of Andrew Droz Palermo) during its marketing push, you'd think the film would immediately receive an IMAX version on Disney+. However, fans were upset today when they logged onto the platform to only find the basic theatrical release.
