Fans of My Chemical Romance have reacted to the rush to get tickets for their huge shows at Wembley Stadium. Check out some of the responses below.

The news of the two shows planned for the London venue were announced on Monday (August 11), and the dates will see them head to the UK capital on July 10 and 11 next year.

Gerard Way and co. started teasing the news last week, when they shared a new video depicting an old-school TV game show. The members are currently out on their 2025 North American ‘Long Live The Black Parade’ stadium tour, which kicked off last month after selling out within hours.

Now, tickets for the London shows went live this morning, and have already seen fans scramble to lock in their place at the two upcoming events.

As shared in a new update from Ticketmaster, tickets for the shows have been priced in advance by the tour, and range from from £58.85 to £268.85 (including fees), along with a  handling fee of £2.50 per order.

While some fans are ecstatic at having locked in their tickets, others have taken to social media to complain about the extensive queues for the shows, and the number of scalpers already reselling tickets.

“MY CHILDHOOD! Finally seeing My Chemical Romance live, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH,” one fan wrote on X/Twitter after securing tickets, while another added: “still got tickets for my chemical romance after being kicked out of the queue twice!”

Someone else quipped about the rush to get tickets, writing: “The nearly-30-year-olds (me) rising from their graves (corporate jobs) to go see my chemical romance at Wembley”.

Others, however, were left frustrated by the process, contending with huge queues, verification issues, and scalpers when trying to get their tickets.

“Tickets already going up on resale sites for My Chemical Romance, yet I’m a bot after logging in on 1 device and sitting in the waiting room for half an hour… good one,” someone shared, while another agreed: “Snap. Same for me. Absolute disgrace. When I finally got around that at 1004. Stated no tickets available.”

“People already advertising/selling tickets for My Chemical Romance on twitter and I’m still in the fucking waiting room, I hate buying concert tickets man, there’s gotta be a better way,” a third wrote, while a fourth added: “Not people selling my chemical romance tickets already and im still 20,000 people behind in the queue.”

While MCR first started to drop hints about the tour last week with the social media video, they kept momentum going over the weekend when they had their logo projected onto the front of Wembley Stadium.

My Chemical Romance last performed in the UK as part of their reunion tour in 2022, with dates taking place in Milton Keynes, Cornwall, Dublin, Warrington, Cardiff and Glasgow.

At their latest run of gigs, the band are playing their 2006 third album ‘The Black Parade’ in full along with rarities from that era and some hits. They’ve also used the US dates to debut an unreleased song titled ‘War Beneath The Rain’, and treat fans to a surprise cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Bullet With Butterfly Wings’.

Support has been coming from a variety of different hand-selected artists, including Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Death Cab For Cutie and Thursday, Alice Cooper, Pixies, Devo, IDLES and Evanescence.

As well as playing live, MCR also released a deluxe 21st anniversary reissue of their second album ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’ in June.
