'Superman's Terence Stamp Gave the Best General Zod Performance of All Time
Legendary British actor Terence Stamp recently passed away at 87 and is perhaps best known for portraying the villainous General Zod in the Richard Donner Superman films. Considering Stamp left behind a virtuoso body of work that includes such star turns as The Collector, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and The Limey, the fact that Zod stands out is high praise for his take on the character. Other actors have played the role of this iconic Superman nemesis over the following years, but it is still Stamp's intense (and somewhat gleeful) performance that is on top.
