Netflix has remained one of the biggest movie studios this decade. Starting out as a DVD rental service, the platform changed the way people watch movies and is continuing to push the needle for the streaming industry. Although they've been around for over 25 years, Netflix didn't start making original films until 2015. They started out releasing only a couple of movies per month, before eventually releasing multiple movies per week, with 2025 already seeing the release of over 70 original movies.
