'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' Director Says Stephen King Adaptation Is a Dream Come True
Yesterday we reported that yet another Stephen King book was set to be adapted for the big screen in the near future. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, the 1999 psychological horror novel by the writer of classics like Pet Sematary and The Talisman, will be adapted into a feature film by JT Mollner, the director behind the gripping thriller Strange Darling. Mollner is also the writer behind one of the year's most anticipated King adaptations, The Long Walk. Even though he has already entered the pantheon of talents to bring King's work to the big screen, Mollner expressed his gratitude at the opportunity to adapt such an underrated novel, which he refers to as his "mom's favorite book."
