'The Prosecutor' Review: 'Law & Order' on Steroids

Donnie Yen Chi-Tan pulls double duty as star and director of The Prosecutor, an engrossing hybrid thriller that blends slick action scenes with tense courtroom theatrics. The result is one of the action icon's best films to date. Screenwriter and longtime collaborator Edmond Wong, who worked with Yen on the Ip Man franchise, adapts an infamous Hong Kong criminal case in which an innocent man, unjustly sentenced to decades in prison, gets a surprising advocate for his freedom.
