'The Simpsons' Made a Top Tier Adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Raven'
We all love the spooky season and the activities that come with it, whether trick-or-treating, horror marathons, or dressing up in costume. One Halloween tradition that’s been a part of the holiday for over three decades is the "Treehouse of Horror" episodes of The Simpsons. These Halloween-themed episodes feature America’s favorite animated family paying homage to all aspects of horror, from movies, television, and even short stories. The first "Treehouse of Horror" installment, simply called The Simpsons Halloween Special, featured segments inspired by The Amityville Horror, The Twilight Zone, and most notably, a unique adaptation of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe.
