Wargasm share dystopian new single ‘Small World Syndrome’

Wargasm have shared a confrontational new single called ‘Small World Syndrome’. Check it out alongside its dystopian music video below.
The track marks the latest release from the duo, and sees them bring back their unique blend of metal, industrial, rave, punk and glitch-pop chaos.
With the song, both Milkie Way and Sam Matlock stand in defiance to the mundane aspects of life, and rise up against the gradual fading out of the little things that keep life interesting.
“They replaced sulphur street lamps with day glow bulbs, they changed the packaging on cigarettes – do you ever feel like there’s a bit less magic in the world?” they shared.
“You wake up one day and the venues, the cafes, the cinemas you loved have been shut down. The things that make the world special are bulldozed by greed and homogenisation. Reality gets smaller by the day. Maybe the world’s not smaller – there’s just less in it. This is a little song about that. Your feelings are better out than in.”
The song also comes with a music video made alongside Nukem Production, which captures a surreal, dystopian world , but still has subtle nods to our reality.
“The video is a Wargasm x (Haris) Nukem Production, shot in a bizarre world where backstreet lobotomies are the norm and deceivingly hench old ladies loiter on park benches to attack unsuspecting ASBO’s. Oh, and Milkie is running for Leader,” the duo explained.
“You gotta be honest with us – somehow it still doesn’t seem as surreal as the mindfuck world we all actually inhabit…” Check it out above.
As well as the new single, Wargasm have announced a new live show, set for London next month. The gig will come as a one-off, “phone-free” show, held at the Outernet on September 28, and see support from Tropic Gold and Filthy Pig. Visit here for tickets.
In November, Wargasm will be joining Electric Callboy and Bury Tomorrow for a number of live shows, and more shows from the duo will follow at the start of 2026, when Milkie Way and Sam Matlock head back out to Europe for a handful of shows.

The latest single comes as the band announced news of a star-studded track last summer confirming that they had joined forces with Slipknot frontman and metal legend Corey Taylor.
Titled ‘70% Dead’, the band teased the collaboration with NME following their slot at Download 2024. They previously teamed up with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst on their 2023 single ‘Bang Ya Head’, and told us about both partnerships.
“We’ve featured on a lot of other artists’ tunes this year, and it made us realise that we really want another artist to be the one featuring on our tunes,” said Matlock.
“So far we’ve only had that once, but it was Fred Durst to be fair. So come back next month and you see – our first dream collaboration was with Fred, and the second is on the way.”
