Watch Yungblud gift Ozzy Osbourne custom made gold cross in moving video: “I love you Oz”

Footage is going viral of Yungblud gifting Ozzy Osbourne a custom-made gold cross. Check it out below.
The footage was captured shortly before the Prince Of Darkness took to the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham, for what would be the final Black Sabbath show. Taking place on Saturday (July 5), it saw founding members Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward perform together for the first time since 2005, and they were joined by a star-studded line-up.
Those performing alongside Sabbath included Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Guns N’ Roses, KoRn, Tool, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, and many more. Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello served as musical director too, and actor Jason Momoa hosted the event – as well as making headlines after starting a moshpit during Pantera’s set.
In a clip of Ozzy backstage with Yungblud, who also was part of the line-up, the metal veteran is seen being gifted a custom-made gold cross by the Doncaster punk star. He explained that the reason behind the gift was because, in 2022, when he was filming ‘The Funeral’s music video, the Black Sabbath legend gave him the cross he was wearing and said, “I hope this brings you luck”.
In a bid to return the favour and show what Osbourne and his music mean to him, Yungblud had a gold cross with diamonds made by his friend in honour of the final show.
“I’ve made you something. You gave me your cross, and I wanted to return the favour, so I made you something,” he is seen saying, handing Osbourne a wooden box. “I’ve got mine on. I never took mine off, so I wanted to return the favour.”
“Thank you for everything. It’s a fucking honour,” he added, while the ‘Paranoid’ singer looked visibly moved by the gesture, and saying that Yungblud could always reach out to him for anything he needs. “The fucking music was enough,” Yungblud responded. “Thank you so much, honestly. You gave me an outlet. Everyone thought I was too fucking mad and that I was like ‘No, I’m like Ozzy’.”
The clip also sees the Black Sabbath frontman tell Yungblud that he knows he recently scored a Number One chart placing with his new album ‘Idols’, and encouraged him to always dream big. “Good for you,” he said. “Conquer America next, then the world. Just keep going, never give in.”

At Saturday’s event, Yungblud appeared on the bill as part of ‘Supergroup A’ – forming a band alongside Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, II from Sleep Token on drums, and Adam Wakeman of Ozzy Osbourne’s band – and son of rock legend Rick – on keys.
They played a version of Black Sabbath’s ‘Changes’, the ballad from their 1972 album ‘Vol. 4’, which Yungblud dedicated to the late Liverpool star Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in northern Spain on Thursday (July 3).
Other standout moments of Saturday’s show included Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith taking part in a drum-off while covering Sabbath’s ‘Symptom Of The Universe’. They were also joined by Tom Morello, bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne’s solo material), and Bettencourt.
As well as that, Morello, Steven Tyler, Travis Barker and The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood came together to cover Led Zeppelin.
Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose and The Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan are among the many who have shared what the star-studded show meant to them, and it has been reported that the huge live event has raised approximately £190million for charity.

Back in 2022, Yungblud spoke to NME about what it was like to work with Ozzy Osbourne for the ‘Funeral’ music video, and shared how he feels a huge amount of respect for the Black Sabbath singer. “He’s so intelligent and so fucking beautiful. People are scared of him until they hear him speak,” he said. “He said that he saw a lot of himself in me. He said, ‘Never apologise for anything. They will understand you later. Time always tells.’”
