What other versions of ‘Destination X’ are there and how to watch them in the UK

After The Traitors, the BBC is hoping for another reality show slam dunk with Destination X.

Hosted by Rob Brydon, the show sees 13 contestants thrown into a mystery road trip across Europe where they compete for £100,000.

Contestants are tasked with guessing where they are in Europe aboard a blacked-out coach, as they piece together clues in various challenges.

The BBC version of Destination X debuted on July 30, 2025 and is available on BBC iPlayer.

Are there other versions of Destination X?

The show’s format is from a Belgian show called Bestemming X, which originally debuted in 2023. Since then, there’s been various versions of the show in other countries, including the Netherlands, France and Germany.

A US version of the show was commissioned at the same time as the UK version, in a joint deal between NBCUniversal and the BBC. The US version, also titled Destination X, is hosted by The Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Are other versions of the show available in the UK?

At the time of writing, other versions of Destination X are not available in the UK.

The original Belgian show, Bestemming X, is available on Dutch streaming service Videoland, but this is inaccessible to UK users without a VPN.

Much like The Traitors, it’s possible the US version of Destination X, which is available on Peacock, will eventually come to BBC iPlayer. However, nothing has been announced.
