Xbox Game Pass is adding some big titles for August 2025

Microsoft has confirmed the first few titles coming to Xbox Game Pass next month, including a massive Day One release.

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that gives both Xbox and PC players access to a massive library of games. To keep things fresh, new titles are constantly being added while other games are removed in fortnightly chunks.
Fourteen titles have been added to Xbox Game Pass this month including Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Grounded 2, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 and Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Now Microsoft has announced the first few games joining the service in August.
All the games confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in August 2025:
- Farming Simulator 25 – August 1 for Standard, Ultimate and PC subscribers
- Madden NFL 26 (10 hour trial) – August 11 for for Standard, Ultimate and PC subscribers via EA Play
- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced Edition: – August 12 for Standard, Ultimate and PC subscribers
- Gears Of War: Reloaded – August 26 for Ultimate and PC subscribers
Microsoft will announce more August additions to Xbox Game Pass in the coming days.
The company also confirmed what games it will be showcasing at Gamescom 2025, which takes place August 20 – 24 in Cologne, Germany. The Xbox booth will have playable demos of 20 different titles including Borderlands 4, Hollow Knight: Silksong and EA Sports FC 26 alongside a first-hand look at the new handheld Xbox ROG Ally. “For those who can’t attend, check out the official Xbox @ gamescom Broadcast: Live From the Showfloor on August 20 & 21.”
Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed 19 Day One releases would be joining the Xbox Game Pass service throughout 2025 and beyond. Frostpunk 2 will be available for subscribers in September, The Outer Worlds 2 will launch in October and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 will come at some point in 2025.
In other news, Hideo Kojima has hit out at “sad” blockbuster military games and claimed most AAA studios are playing things too safe. He’s also said he has no interest in playing the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.
