'Avengers: Doomsday' Set to Redeem Thor Following Divisive 'Thor: Love & Thunder,' Claims New Rumor

The vast majority of MCU movies have been overwhelming hits, both with critics and at the box office. But a franchise that has been running for nearly two decades was always bound to have a couple of stinkers, and one of the worst MCU movies arrived in theaters in 2022. Thor: Love & Thunder brought Chris Hemsworth back for a fourth standalone outing as Thor, following the fan favorite, Thor: Ragnarök. Thor has always had a tough time in his standalone projects, with Thor being entirely forgettable, and Thor: The Dark World long being considered the MCU's weakest movie (until Phase 5, that is). But Love & Thunder set the bar even lower than before, thanks to a myriad of questionable creative decisions, and potentially killed the chances of Thor 5 in the process. Thankfully, the God of Thunder might be getting the redemption he sorely needs in Avengers: Doomsday.
