Barry Can’t Swim announces intimate All Points East 2025 afterparty

Barry Can’t Swim has announced an intimate afterparty following his headline set at All Points East 2025. Find all the details below.

The Scottish DJ and producer will top the bill at the east London festival on Friday August 22 – which is also his birthday. He’ll be joined in Victoria Park by the likes of Confidence Man, Shygirl and DJ Heartstring.

More support acts joined the line-up earlier this summer, including OrbitalAvalon Emerson and The Blessed Madonna.

Now, organisers have confirmed that Barry Can’t Swim (real name Joshua Mainnie) will play a special DJ set at the nearby, 750-capacity venue Colour Factory later that same night.

The event, dubbed ‘Amex Afters’, will also include a slot from Irish producer SHEE. Further special guest performers are due to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale at 10am BST tomorrow (Wednesday August 6) for Amex cardmembers who have already purchased a ticket for All Points East. They’ll then be available for all remaining APE ticketholders at the same time on Thursday (August 7).

On Friday (8), customers will be able to buy a bundle ticket for Barry Can’t Swim’s headlining All Points East show, with access to the ‘Amex Afters’ event. Visit here to buy yours.

“This is the only official afterparty to be held post [Barry Can’t Swim’s] own show down the road at All Points East in Victoria Park – his first ever major festival headline slot,” an official listing reads.

The show will give attendees “a rare chance to catch one of the most exciting names in music in an intimate setting and keep the night going into the early hours”.

“‘Amex Afters’ is a series of exclusive experiences curated around the biggest events in entertainment, keeping the vibe alive for fans beyond the main event,” the description adds.

Doors are scheduled to open at 11pm BST, with an age restriction of 18+.

The 2025 edition of ‘Amex Afters’ with Barry Can’t Swim follows the huge success of previous events, including Tems last year, and Little Simz‘ set at Village Underground in 2023.

Last week, it was confirmed that JADE will be playing an intimate gig as part of ‘Amex Afters’ at the Colour Factory on Saturday August 23. This will follow the soloist and former Little Mix singer opening for Raye at All Points East 2025.

All Points East 2025 will also feature performances from The Maccabees, Cleo Sol, SAULT, Chase & Status and many more. Find any remaining tickets here.

Barry Can’t Swim released his second studio album, ‘Loner’, last month. It follows on from his Mercury Prize-nominated debut, 2023’s ‘When Will We Land?’. The DJ was shortlisted for the BBC Sound of 2025 earlier this year, and was nominated for Best Dance Act at the BRIT Awards 2024.
