Jason Statham Almost Used 'John Wick' Style Action in the Movie 'Safe' According to Chad Stahelski
The John Wick franchise has become known for its incredible stunts and fight choreography, including what has become known as “gun-fu.” While gun fights and hand-to-hand combat seem to be commonplace in the world of action movies now, when the Wachowskis brought the idea to mainstream in The Matrix, it was just the beginning of where it would later go thanks to Chad Stahelski and the John Wick franchise. But it could have actually been Jason Stathamwho first got to embrace Stahelski’s brand of “gun-fu” before Keanu Reeves’ assassin had the chance.
