'John Wick' Universe Movie 'Ballerina' Is More Than a Sequel or Spinoff Says Len Wiseman

The franchise that began as a mid-budget action movie in 2014 has evolved into a worldwide success, as Chad Stahelski's vision of an unstoppable master assassin has been expertly brought to life across four different films. Each entry has had incredible Gun-fu fight choreography, impressive practical stunts, and a subdued and iconic performance from franchise star Keanu Reeves. Now, the first interconnected film that doesn't star the actor, Ballerina, will be hitting theaters soon, and the director has recently explained how the film isn't really a spinoff or sequel to the John Wick movies.
