Lily James Talks 'Finally Dawn,' Teases Upcoming Projects
It's now been 10 years since the reliably superb Lily James graced the big screen as the one and only Cinderella in the live-action remake directed by Kenneth Branagh. James has since gone on to work with other acclaimed filmmakers and performers, and this year, she's continued to prove her versatility in a new period piece that made the festival rounds and is now being released in the U.S. In the 1950s-set Finally Dawn, James plays an aspiring actor named Josephine in a sort of Hollywood version of Rome, Italy, starring alongside other big names such as Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe and Stranger Things standout Joe Keery. MovieWeb recently spoke to James to learn more about her latest lead role, the unique inspirations behind her gripping performance and her next projects on the horizon.
