Mark Hamill's Proposed Backstory for Luke Skywalker is More Depressing Than Anything in 'The Last Jedi'
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill has revealed his planned idea for why Luke Skywalker exiled himself in the sequel trilogy, and it's far darker than anything in The Last Jedi. It has been eight years since Star Wars: The Last Jedi opened in theaters and the movie is still the cause of so much discourse. Easily the biggest point of contention among many is the decision to reveal why Luke Skywalker gave up on being a Jedi and walked away from the Force.
