Rian Johnson Addresses 'Knives Out's Future After 'Wake Up Dead Man'
After Rian Johnson received critical acclaim - although a divisive reception from general audiences - with Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017, it seemed like the filmmaker had a bright future ahead of him at Lucasfilm. However, that ended up not being the case, as Johnson would not make another film at Lucasfilm since then, despite news of him developing his own trilogy. Instead, the writer/director would make the first Knives Out Film, and he hasn't looked back since, with a third entry, Wake Up Dead Man, on the way.
