Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners' Getting Re-Released in IMAX 70mm Later This Month
Sinners might be losing its IMAX screens to Thunderbolts* this weekend, but fans will get a chance to see it on the best format possible very soon, as tickets are already on sale for a limited IMAX 70mm re-release in a few weeks. The horror filmhas become a full-blown phenomenon, as positive word of mouth about the film spread over the first two opening weekends, during which it had just a 6% drop at the box office. A large portion of the film's profits have come from IMAX screens, particularly the much-talked-about 70mm film prints, which director Ryan Coogler hyped up in a must-see video. Despite playing sold-out shows throughout the week, the film is about to leave IMAX screens, but fans who missed it in the ideal format will get another chance in a couple of weeks.
