'Star Wars' Star Kelly Marie Tran Open To Return as Rose Tico in the Future
Kelly Marie Tran is open to reprising her Rose Tico role in a future Star Wars project. Tran joined the franchise with 2017's The Last Jedi as Rose Tico, a Resistance pilot who became one of the lead characters in the film. Critics praised Tran's role, as she tied in with the film's larger themes and gained many fans in her own right. Sadly, much of the positive press for Rose and Tran's performance was overpowered by the outburst of hostile, racist, and sexist remarks the star received from a contingent of the Star Wars fandom. While Tran has since moved on, landing a leading role in the Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon and the upcoming The Wedding Banquet, she is still open to returning to a galaxy far, far away.
