'The Four Seasons' Review: Netflix Tina Fey Series Should've Been a Movie
You love Tina Fey. You love Steve Carell. They’re aging gracefully, and they’re hilarious. They can even tackle some dramas every now and then. When the pair teamed up for the 2010 action comedy Date Night, it didn’t work. Interestingly, if you stayed for that film’s end credits, the outtakes (which are usually a bust) revealed how that pairing should have worked, given their inherently relentless charm. So when news broke that Fey and Carell would be reuniting for a Netflix series version of The Four Seasons, the A-listers certainly had our attention. The kicker is that the series is more of a dramedy than a straight comedy.
