'Thunderbolts*' Writer Reveals Original Plans for Taskmaster's MCU Role
This article contains spoilers for Thunderbolts*Shortly after the film's release, Thunderbolts* writer Eric Pearson just revealed the film's original cut storyline for Taskmaster. Despite being announced as part of the initial rosterat D23 in 2022, many fans were expecting Taskmaster to die before the end of the film, given she was largely absent from many shots in the trailer and actress Olga Kurylenko did not get a chair announcement for Avengers: Doomsday. What fans did not expect was for the character to die within the film's first 15 minutes, as during the massive four-way fight, she is shot point-blank in the head by Ghost before her body is incinerated.
