Walton Goggins loved that controversial ‘SNL’ ‘White Lotus’ sketch: “Amazzzingggg”

The White Lotus star Walton Goggins appeared to enjoy Saturday Night Live’s parody of the show, in contrast to co-star Aimee Lou Wood.
The skit, broadcast last weekend (April 12), was titled The White POTUS and set certain political figures within the context of the show. One joke made fun of actor Wood’s teeth, something that the actor called “Mean and Unfunny”. She eventually received an apology from the show.
Goggins, who played Wood’s love interest in the show, had a different reaction to the spoof. As reported by Today, the actor commented on SNL’s post of the sketch, writing: “Hahahahahhahaha amazzzingggg”.
Page Six also noticed that he then shared it to his Instagram story, describing it as “smashing”. Today later claimed that both Walton’s comment and story were deleted after a few hours, with some speculating that it was removed after Wood’s feelings were known.
This follows an internet theory shared last week (April 10) that the two had fallen out. While the duo had appeared to be very close while filming, with both being pictured on each other’s social accounts, fans noticed that the two no longer appear to follow each other on Instagram. This was, however, prior to the sketch being aired.
Recently, The White Lotus cast member Patrick Schwarzenegger, revealed he watched the season three finale with Wood and was “really torn up” by its conclusion, remarking: “It felt like the death of that chapter for me in my life”.
Elsewhere, Jason Isaacs hit back at fan questions over onset drama. “Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about” he said during a radio interview. “People who think they’re onto something, and it then it gets magnified because of a thousand other people. Nobody has any clue”.
