What Do All the 'Peter Pan' References in 'Alien: Earth' Mean?

Alien: Earth is rife with references to Peter Pan, with scenes from the Disney animated film playing on the ceiling of the lab, and the naming device for each of the hybrid children. Neverland is where children go to not grow up, and the Prodigy-created hybrid children will not age, even if their minds mature with life experience. The references are blatant and explicit, sometimes seeming too heavy (or sharp) handed. Clearly, Noah Hawley wants to make sure that audiences see something important to the story involving the Peter Pan mythos. Many of these explicit references would not have been possible without the Walt Disney and 20th Century Fox merger that was completed in 2019.
