The American pop singer and former NME Cover star is set to perform two huge gigs in Scotland later this month – extending her run of live appearances across the UK this summer.
Taking place at the Royal Highlands Showgrounds in Edinburgh, the shows will be held on August 26 and 27 as a headline slot for the Summer Sessions concert series, with organisers now announcing that JADE will be a special guest on the line-up.
Both dates are sold out, but you can check here for any remaining tickets that pop up.
JADE recently announced her debut solo album ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!”, which is set for release on September 12 and will feature collaborations with RAYE, Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut and Pablo Bowman.
After her set at Glasto, JADE spoke to NME about the forthcoming record and shared why she has been using her platform to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
“I think I’ve always been a bit mouthy when it comes to things that are important. I’m not afraid to speak up and stand up, especially for the LGBTQ+ community,” she said.
“I feel like it’s important, now more than ever, to stand particularly with the trans community. We are seeing a lot of transphobia, a lot of propaganda and a lot of negative press, so I just wanted to make sure that they know that I will say it with my chest and I’ll stand up for them.”
Similarly, Roan has previously used her platform to spoke out in support of the trans community. At the 2025 Grammys, seemingly drawing reference to Donald Trump‘s introduction of a “two gender” policy she said: “It’s brutal right now, but trans people have always existed, and they will forever exist. And they will never, no matter what happens, take trans joy away, and that has to be protected more than anything because I would not be here without trans girls.”
Her latest release came earlier this week in the form of lovelorn ballad ‘The Subway’. the track marked her third single since releasing the hit album ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’. She first released ‘Good Luck Babe!’ in 2024 – the song went on to be crowned NME‘s Song of 2024.
However, last week, she put a dampener on hopes of a new album, clarifying that the follow-up to ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess’ may still be a while off yet. “The second project doesn’t exist yet,” she said. “There is no album. There is no collection of songs.”
Comparing it to the process for ‘The Rise And Fall…”, Roan added: “It took me five years to write the first one, and it’s probably going to take at least five to write the next. I’m not that type of writer that can pump it out.”
The Edinburgh shows will follow dates the ‘Pink Pony Club’ singer has lined up for the 2025 edition of Reading & Leeds. These will be held on August 22 and 23 respectively, and see her top this year’s bill alongside Travis Scott, Bring Me The Horizon and Hozier.
After that, Roan is set to appear at Electric Picnic in Ireland. Visit here for tickets.
