James Gunn Says DCEU Can Be Thought of as "Vague Memories" of Things That Happened Before the DCU
The confusion over what is and isn’t considered canon in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU continues, with Gunn doing his best to explain how things work in this newly emerging comic book universe. The DCU has now begun on the big screen with Gunn’s well-received Superman, and while Snyderverse fans and fans of the former DCEU have been left disappointed with the reboot, Gunn has now offered a way to view the previous movies and consider them canon to the DCU...sort of.
