d4vd and Stray Kids‘ Hyunjin have teamed for the intricate and intimate new single ‘Always Love’ – check it out below.

Out now, the single had been anticipated for some time as d4vd and Hyunjin dropped hints and teasers for ‘Always Love’ over the past couple of weeks. The tender tune sees the pair duet over a combination of d4vd’s signature melancholic stylings and Hyunjin’s smooth vocals.

They croon together on the closing chorus: “Do ya, do ya feel what I feel? / Do you love like I love? / Would you hold my hand? / Would you let me go? / Would you stand by my side? / Are you down for the ride? / I don’t need nobody else but you, but you.”

The collaboration marks the culmination of a nearly year-long journey for the two that sparked when Hyunjin mentioned his love for d4vd’s music during an interview with Teen Vogue last year. When d4vd was in South Korea, he returned the favour, shouting out the Stray Kids member on the radio.

d4vd said of the collaboration via a press statement: “This was a true full circle moment. Hyunjin mentioned me in an interview last year then I mentioned him on the radio when I was in Korea and it just kind of kept spiralling until ultimately we got to work together. He’s so talented and I’m really excited with how the song turned out. I’d like to especially thank the Stray Kids fans for being so supportive and accepting of this collaboration.”

The collaboration comes two months after the release of d4vd’s acclaimed debut LP ‘Withered’, and just over a week after Stray Kids’ new mini-album ‘Hollow’.

Meanwhile, former NME Cover star d4vd has announced details of a huge UK, European and North American tour – the tour will arrive in the UK in October and will see d4vd perform shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and London.
