'Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum' Gets December 2027 Release Date
The Lord of the Rings spin-off movie, The Hunt for Gollum, has now been given a release date by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema. The movie will adapt the appendices of J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" book, and finds the wizard Gandalf the Grey (played by Ian McKellen in the original trilogy and The Hobbit movies) tasking Aragorn (played by Viggo Mortensen in the movies) with hunting down Gollum, who they believe has the One Ring.
