'Star Trek: Prodigy' Season 3 Reportedly Rejected by Netflix
While Star Trek: Prodigy survived cancellation once before, the future looks bleak for the animated series. Debuting in 2021 as a dual-venture between Nickelodeon and Paramount+, Star Trek: Prodigy was an animated series that aimed to get younger viewers into the franchise. Despite positive reviews from fans and critics and the second season already being greenlit and animated, Paramount+ canceled the series. However, Netflix picked up the final twenty episodes of the series' second season as well as the first season. Netflix released all episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy on Jul. 1, 2024.
