Editor Mark Yoshikawa Talks Stephen King's 'The Long Walk'

The Long Walk is the highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name. While Carrie might have been King's first published work, The Long Walk was the first novel he ever wrote and was published in 1979 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. Many filmmakers, including George A. Romero, the director of Night of the Living Dead, and André Øvredal, the director of Trollhunter, attempted to bring the story to the big screen. Now, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes director Francis Lawrence, along with a script by Strange Darling's JT Mollner, has finally brought the epic tale to the big screen and will open in theaters on September 12, 2025.
