Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa's Home Had Rodent Infestation Problems

The death of Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, dominated headlines back in February, as the circumstances surrounding the passing of the couple became a mystery, like the plot of several of Hackman’s movies. When the truth of the situation came to light after several days, it was discovered that Arakawa had died from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), and Hackman had likely passed away days later. Now a new report has revealed that the tragic double death was almost inevitable due to the couple’s property being said to have been a “breeding ground” for the virus that killed Arakawa.
