Netflix’s ‘Hitmakers’ cast and where you’ll know them from

A group of successful songwriters are tasked with writing a hit single in reality show Hitmakers.

The Netflix series follows twelve established songwriters and producers as they enter writing camps to develop songs for certain artists, namely John Legend, Shaboozey and Lisa from BLACKPINK.

“With tensions high and time short, viewers get a front-row seat to the creative chaos, emotional stakes and personal breakthroughs,” the synopsis reads. “This isn’t just about writing music… it’s the journey to becoming a hitmaker.”

All six episodes of the series were released on July 24, 2025.

Who is in the cast of Netflix’s Hitmakers?

Jenna Andrews

The Canadian singer and songwriter has worked with acts like Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado, Noah Cyrus, and Little Mix. She’s credited as a songwriter on BTS smash hit ‘Dynamite’ and Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘PRFCT’, among many others.

Tommy Brown

Originating from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tommy is a record producer, songwriter and rapper who is best known for his collaborations with Ariana Grande. He’s contributed to six of her studio albums, including five songs on 2019’s ‘Thank U, Next’, specifically the title track, ‘7 Rings’, ‘Needy’, ‘NASA’ and ‘Make Up’.

Trey Campbell

Campbell represented Bulgaria in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the supergroup Equinox, where they placed 14th. He’s also collaborated with the likes of Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha and Ella Henderson.

Ferras

Ferras achieved some notoriety with his single ‘Hollywood’s Not America’ which was featured as an exit song in American Idol season seven. He’s also credited as a songwriter on Dua Lipa’s ‘Genesis’, ‘Bon Appétit’ by Katy Perry, and several tracks by Adam Lambert.

Harv

Bernard “Harv” Harvey is perhaps best known for his collaborations with Justin Bieber, as a writer, producer, and performer. His notable credits include Bieber tracks ‘Peaches’, ‘Forever’ and ‘Don’t Go’ with Skrillex.

Ben Johnson

Johnson has had significant success in country music, penning hits like ‘One Of Them Girls’ for Lee Brice and ‘Take My Name’ by Parmalee. He’s also written songs for Kylie Morgan, Weezer and Charlie Puth.

Stephen Kirk

The Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter has worked with artists like Pharrell, Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Nelly Furtado. Kirk has collaborated with fellow Hitmakers star Jenna Andrews on several BTS tracks too, namely ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Permission To Dance’.

JHart

James “JHart” Abrahart is a British songwriter and record producer based in LA. He had his breakthrough credit on ‘Take You’ by Justin Bieber, but has also penned ‘Never Again’ and ‘Change Your Mind’ by Trey Songz, ‘Sax’ by Fleur East, and ‘Power’ by Little Mix.

Whitney Phillips

Phillips is best known for penning ‘Stuck With U’ by Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, along with ‘Deliver’ by Fifth Harmony and ‘Don’t Worry Bout Me’ by Zara Larsson.

Sevyn Streeter

A former member of girl groups TG4 and RichGirl, Streeter released her debut album ‘Girl Disrupted’ in 2017. She has written songs for various artists too, including Chris Brown on the track ‘Next To You’, Usher, Kelly Rowland, and Alicia Keys.

Nova Wav

A songwriting and producing duo composed of Brittany “Chi” Coney and Denisia “Blu June” Andrews, Nova Wav are best known for co-writing eight songs on Beyoncé’s 2022 album ‘Renaissance’, including ‘Cuff It’, ‘Alien Superstar’, ‘Virgo’s Groove’ and ‘Pure/Honey’. They also penned her track ‘Black Parade’ for The Lion King.
