‘The Simpsons’ creator says show won’t end until Donald Trump dies

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening has suggested that the show won’t end until Donald Trump dies.
The series has been running since 1989, becoming the longest-running animated TV show and sitcom ever.
However, while speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Groening said that there was “no end in sight” – though did make one prediction.
“I honestly thought 36 was where we were going to end it,” he said (via Variety). “No, there’s no end in sight. We’re going to keep going. We’re going to go until somebody dies.”
“When you-know-who dies, The Simpsons predicts the there will be dancing in the streets. Except President [J.D.] Vance will ban dancing,” he added.
The Simpsons famously predicted that Trump would become U.S. President in a 2000 episode, and also later predicted he would get re-elected in a 2015 episode. The show also appears to have forecasted some other major events over the years.
Meanwhile, the White House has been feuding with fellow animated sitcom South Park after a recent episode heavily mocked Trump, including showing him with a micro-penis and in bed with Satan.
Following criticism from the administration, Trey Parker appeared at Comic-Con in which he said with a deadpan stare: “We’re terribly sorry.”
The show co-creator also revealed that they fought with producers over blurring the penis, with Matt Stone sharing that they agreed to put eyes on the penis instead.
“If we put eyes on the penis, we won’t blur it. That was a whole conversation with grown-up people for four fucking days,” he said.
In other Simpsons news, fans of Grand Theft Auto have been mocking the show after a number of references to 2004 game San Andreas, some questioning why they would “reference a 20 year old game”.
Fans were also recently left devastated by Marge Simpson’s apparent death – though producers later clarified that it wasn’t canon (via Variety).
