Tyler Perry's New Madea Film Tops Netflix Chart Despite Mixed Reviews
Madea has been through it all. She has gone to jail, caused chaos at a family reunion, had a homecoming, and she's even had to host a family that was in witness protection. There's so much more the character, created and played by Tyler Perry, has done, and it seems like age will never be a factor in her nonsense. There are about thirteen films in the Madea Cinematic Universe, with the latest being Madea's Destination Wedding. The film was released on Netflix on July 11, and as usual, Perry plays multiple characters: Madea, Joe, and Brian. While the reviews are mixed, with some people enjoying the vibes of classic wedding chaos and others believing it was rushed, the film is currently topping the streamer's chart.
